Total Extinguishment deals 1 damage to target creature every upkeep, that damage stays dealt to that creature. (for example, if target creature is 3/3 it would go down to and stay at 3/2.) Once target creature dies you may {2}{r} to assign the damage to another creature, if not sacrifice this card.
