If your opponent casts a non-creature spell, they can pay {3}, otherwise place a Warding Counter on this permanent.
Counter spells cast by an opponent with a Mana Value less than or equal to the number of Warding Counters on this Permanent. During the End Step if this permanent has 10 or more Warding counters on it, Exile it and gain life equal to the number of Warding Counters on it.
Many great wizards gave their lives to ensure the ritual was finished, to make sure the city survived.
