Neil Dowe Benvie was born in Upper Musquodo-
boit, NS. When the family home burned down,
Neil rebuilt it; he would become a house builder
in SK, and his eventual home Truro, NS. After
his wife Mary passed, he wed Lola Henderson,
pictured here. Neil was a self-taught musician: he
loved to sing and fiddle. He died in NS, at 93.
