Nancy Ellen Ransom was born in Brownwood,
TX. She married Lewis at 16, became a mother
at 20, and would have 10 children in all - her
last coming at age 43. The family were farmers:
first in Texas, then in New Mexico, and finally
in Arizona. In 1924, Nancy passed away in
Globe, AR, at the age of 58, after a long illness.
