Mary Ann Melissa Milligan is a descendant of
Loyalists who were granted land in Ontario after
the Revolutionary War. Her mother may have
been Dutch. Born in Fredericksburgh, she wed
Albert at 17, and they had 11 kids together over
a 56 year marriage. They moved to BC to home-
stead in 1908, and Mary died there, in Castledale.
