the added effect first, as a separate ability. )
Whenever you cast or splice an arcane spell, you
may put a number of chi counters equal to that
spell's mana value on target vanara, ape, monkey,
or monk creature. Then, deal that much damage
to any target. (Creatures gets +1/+1 for each
chi counter on them. If a creature would be dealt
1 or more damage, remove a chi counter from
it instead.)
