Elrond

Elrond was an ancient elf who gave Thorin
and his friends shelter and advice.
He helped them find the Moon-Letters on their map that pointed to the secret entrance into the Lonely Mountain.
He also told them the names of the Gondolin-blades that they found in the troll cave, Orchrist the Goblin-Cleaver and
Glamdring the Foe-Hammer.
