Eliza Agnes "Annie" Grant was born in a fishing
settlement called Spry Bay, on the east coast of
Nova Scotia. She married James, a farmer, and
they lived and raised their family on 'Benvie Hill.'
They had their first child in 1877, and would
have 9 more by the time Annie was 45 years old,
in 1895. She died in 1924, in Musquodoboit.
