Begin with a hook
The first sentence (or sentences) of an essay should catch the
reader’s attention and relate to your prompt.
•Make a broad statement that links the real world to the world of
the book you are discussing.
•Introduce the text you're writing about in the
beginning of your essay by mentioning the author's full
name and the complete title of the work. Titles of books should in
single quotation marks.
For example:
Adolescence is the bridging gap between childhood and adulthood,
and
Card Comments
