Instead of paying Absorbing Phoenix's mana cost, you may pay any number of mana in it's mana cost. Subtract that number from the mana cost to get the Leftover Mana. Every turn, you may pay a part of Absorbing Phoenix's mana cost, subtracting it from the Leftover Mana, until the Leftover Mana becomes zero or less.
